When do you know that your country has become more westernized (read: media obsessive)?
When there are many 24 hour News Channels that don't have any breaking news to report, they start to manufacture and sensationalize news.
Case in Point: When a 5-year old boy is rescued from a 60-foot well in Haryana, it was broadcast live in multiple 24x7 channels around the country and has become National News.
'Nuff said.
