The Paradox of Choice

Another gem of a talk from TED, this one by Professor Barry Schwartz in which talks about how more choices make your life miserable.

I'd have to say he's spot on in his hypothesis. I go through this almost all the time - from selecting a computer, to selecting what milk to buy. Only recently have I started to practice the art of keeping my expectations low.

  1. I have started going to smaller stores with fewer choices. Enough is enough.

  2. I'm guessing in a few years there are going to be ads for stores which advertise like "One Choice on everything" :)

  3. Don't they have it already and its called Costco? Unfortunately, their sizes are so large, even their pizza didn't fit in my oven. Over here we call it "House of Greed."
